EUREKA EUREKA!!

Today one of my friends unknowingly sent a mail to wrong Mohit (I would refer him as Mohit-1) mistaking his id as mine. After that Mohit-1 sent a reply telling about the wrong id part. This incidence reminded of another incidence when I was working from Bangalore.

I was working from Offshore and as ususal, everyone from Onsite (including my onsite contact) was sending mails to Mohit - 1.

Well.. "To Err is Human", I just sent a mail back telling about the wrong id and requested everyone to send it to correct id. But those mails still continued to go to Mohit - 1. and after some time both Mohit-1 and I too stopped telling them about it and started getting my mails from Mohit-1 as forwards.

After some 20-25 days of continously sending mails to incorrect id and getting mails from Mohit-1 about the wrong id, I got a mail from my onsite contact saying "LETs STOP SENDING MAILS TO MOHIT-1"...

EUREKA EUREKA.... !!!!

CAT is Back

This is October and CAT frenzy season is back. The excitement over whether one will be able to CATapult himself into "WHO CAN"s or will end up again in "WHO CANT"s.

People have started getting into act after the year long "slumber" and reading Quant, DI, RC fundas trying to cover everything with lightening speed in single stretch. God bless the institutions and their skilled managers that fill them with the enthusiasm and zeal that nothing is impossible. MBA Aspirants wonder about the salaries IIMs graduates would be drawing after 2 years (though without heeding much over the work they would be doing).

Wow!! Isn't it great?.

Well.. Who knows.. But this short season always reminds me of the Internet boom of 1996-2000 when everyone wanted to be partof the IT bandwagon (Learning JAVA, taking H-1 and escaping to AM-RECCA).

NO KIDDING...

I was reading "Straight from the Gut" by Jack Welch. He kept on talking about the fact "Don't kid with yourself".

Amazing!! Isn't? Mr. Welch (PAST PRESIDENT OF GE) telling to some wellmatured adults that please don't kid with yourself. How hard it will be for some grown ups to live in reality?

Well! after some thinking I started to accept the fact that most of the time knowingly or unknowingly, we just drift away from reality and it gets so painful to come back to reality that many people choose to stay in life of sweet dreams than the harsh reality.

And it is not by chance that Mr. Jack did well by being the CEO of GE.
